Omaha, NE : 26-year-old Omaha man died in a motorcycle crash on Thursday, 17th May 2018

Authorities have identified the 26-year-old Omaha man who died in a motorcycle crash northeast of Council Bluffs.

The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office said Adam Blake was killed Thursday in the crash with a pickup truck that was pulling a livestock trailer. The crash occurred about 7:50 p.m. at County Road L-34 and Whippoorwill Road near Neola.

Rescue squad personnel from Neola declared Blake dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Joseph Jensen, 19, of Neola was southbound on County Road L-34 and making a left turn onto Whippoorwill Road when the crash occurred.

Jensen was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup pulling the empty trailer. The Sheriff’s Office said Blake, who was operating a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, was southbound behind Jensen when he struck the rear of the trailer.
