Late Tuesday, she said the driver was Martha Itzel Martinez Garza, 18, of San Benito, and the passenger was Jose Guadalupe Camacho, 18.
The accident happened at the 700 block of East Vermillion Road.
“A white Chevy Malibu was travelling eastbound on Houston Road approaching North Vermillion Road. The driver lost control of the vehicle, went airborne, struck a utility pole and came to a final rest,” Montalvo said.
