TUCKER, GA : One person is dead and two others are critically injured following a fatal crash on May, Saturday, 20th 2017

One person is dead and two others are critically injured following a fatal crash in DeKalb County.

It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday in Tucker on Lawrenceville Highway, just west of Jimmy Carter Boulevard. The stretch of roadway was closed for hours as crews worked to clear the crash scene.

Police tell WGCL-TV (http://bit.ly/2rpiGPl ) that the vehicle lost control and overturned into a patch of trees where it came to rest.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene while two others were transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.

It is unclear what caused the crash and police have not released any identities.
