POLK COUNTY, FL : Deputies Davenport man killed in second of two consecutive crashes on Saturday, 27th April 2024

A Davenport man was killed after he veered off the road after being involved in a hit-and-run on Saturday morning.

Edgar Penaloza, 50, was driving southbound on North Scenic Highway near Hickory Hammock Road just before 1 a.m. when he rear-ended a Honda Civic with his Toyota Tundra, according to a news release by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
