Wichita, KS : 17-year-old Derrick Burnett and 15-year-old Dontrez J. Williams dead, two others injured when car strikes utility pole near Pawnee and Woodlawn on Wednesday afternoon, March 11, 2015

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has identified the four people involved in a crash Wednesday that left two of them dead.

According to Lt. Lin Dehning, a Chevrolet Monte Carlo was westbound on Pawnee when the driver lost control and hit a utility pole on the north side of the road near Woodlawn.

Four people were inside the car at the time. The front seat passenger, 17-year-old Derrick Burnett and left rear passenger 15-year-old Dontrez J. Williams died at the scene. KAKE News has learned one was a student at North High School.

The driver, 19-year-old Ramaj M. White and right rear passenger, 20-year-old Daraushea N. Goines, were rushed to an area hospital. Goines is listed in fair condition and White was treated and released on Wednesday.

Friends of Derrick Burnett say he went to North High School. "I wish we would have knew it was the last time we were going to see him, we would have said so much, he was a good person," said one student.

Investigators believe that speed was a contributing factor that caused the driver to lose control.

Deputies interviewed witnesses at the scene, and ask that anyone who saw the accident happen call the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.
