Clarkfield, MN : One killed, one injured in Yellow Medicine County crash early Wednesday morning, April 5, 2017
A man was killed and a woman was injured in a one-car rollover accident early Wednesday morning in Yellow Medicine County.
According to the State Patrol, the accident happened around 2:34 a.m. on U.S. Highway 59 south of Clarkfield when a northbound 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Byron Dean Iverson, 54, of Marshall, left the roadway and vaulted over a driveway.
The Jeep then rolled and came to a rest on it's roof.
Iverson was killed and a passenger, Gigi Marie Alter, 53, of Cottonwood, was taken by helicopter to a hospital in St. Cloud non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was dry at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor, according to the State Patrol.
The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's office assisted at the scene of the crash.
