Wakefield, N.H : Driver dies in head-on collision involving Secret Service agents in Wakefield on Tuesday evening, December 29, 2015

A man was killed when the car he was driving crossed the center line and collided head-on with another car carrying four on-duty Secret Service agents in Wakefield on Tuesday evening, according to authorities.

Police said a Mercury Sable four-door, driven by Bruce Danforth, 45, was traveling north on Route 16 over Wakefield Hill shortly after 7 p.m. when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Ford Taurus.

Danforth died at the scene and his passengers, Natasha Meroski, 35, and Kristina Buswell, 21, were taken to Frisbee Memorial Hospital and Huggins Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Authorities said the Taurus was carrying four on-duty Secret Service agents, whose names have not been released. They were also taken to Frisbee Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
