Goshen, IN : Kansas man stuck and killed by vehicle on Goshen's southeast side early Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017

A Kansas man was stuck and killed early Wednesday morning attempting to cross Kercher Road on Goshen's southeast side.

The incident occurred around 5:52 a.m. at the intersection of Kercher Road and Century Drive, in an industrial park. According to a press release sent out by the Goshen Police Department, the Brian O Belote, 47, was crossing Kercher Road when he was struck by a 1995 Ford F-150 being driven by 52-year-old Bruce Selner of Ashley.

Selner told police he did not see Belote in the roadway prior to striking him and that he was unable to avoid the accident. Belote, who is from Hutchinson, Kansas, was pronounced dead at the scene by Goshen Fire Department paramedics.

Goshen police were still investigating the accident Wednesday afternoon. Police did not issue any tickets or criminal charges, believing the incident was accidental.
