Concord, NH : A Manchester woman has died after crash on Monday, August 14, 2017

A Manchester woman has died after crashing her car Monday night on Interstate 293 in the city.

Amanda Primeau, 31, was pronounced dead at Elliot Hospital, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Primeau was a contracted delivery driver for the Monitor. She was not delivering newspapers at the time of the crash.

Police said Primeau lost control of her 2008 Nissan Versa, causing the vehicle to crash into a wooded area off the interstate shortly before midnight. First-responders found the vehicle standing vertical with its front end leaning against a tree.

Firefighters had to extricate Primeau from the vehicle. She was treated at the scene before being taken by ambulance to the hospital, police said.

The right lane of I-293 was closed for about three hours following the crash, which remains under investigation.
