Lorton, VA : Five people injured when Greyhound bus crashes with truck on Route 123 near Hooes Road on Wednesday morning, March 9, 2016

At least five people have been taken to the hospital following a crash between a Greyhound bus and a pickup truck.

Police said none of the injuries in the Wednesday morning crash is life-threatening.

Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Tawny Wright said the crash occurred about 7:30 a.m. on Route 123 near Hooes Road. Wright said the bus rear-ended the pickup truck.

Reports varied on the number hospitalized - police reported 12, fire and rescue officials reported five and Greyhound reported seven. Another two dozen bus passengers who weren't hurt were taken to a park, where they waited a few hours for another bus to arrive.

Wright said police are investigating to determine whether charges will be placed.

A Greyhound spokeswoman said the bus was traveling from New York to Richmond.
