Jasper woman killed near Farlen in Indiana
A Jasper woman was killed in a traffic accident in northern Davies County Tuesday afternoon.According to the Davies County Sheriff’s Department, 61-year-old Margaret A. Clark was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country south on U.S. 231, about 2 miles north of Farlen, behind a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by 17-year-old Cameron Chestnut, Odon.
The snow and slush on the road caused Chestnut to lose control of the SUV and it began spinning. Clark’s minivan struck the passenger door of the the SUV causing major damage to both vehicles.
The Davies County Coroner pronounced Clark dead at the scene at 3:33 p.m.EMS transported Chestnut to Daviess Community Hospital in Washington. According to a hospital spokesperson this morning, Chestnut had been admitted to the hospital but was in a stable condition.
