North Platte, NE : Teens injured after Maxwell crash on Tuesday, November 15, 2016
Two teenage girls went to the hospital Tuesday, after the car they were in rolled more than two times.
The girls were headed east on East Island Road near Maxwell when they swerved to miss a deer that crossed their path, said Cpl. Tom Courter with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies on scene estimated that the car rolled two-and-a-half times; it came to rest on its roof, Courter said.
The girls, both 16 and from the rural Maxwell area, were each taken to Great Plains Health with minor injuries. Courter said that each girl was wearing a seat belt. Neither drugs nor alcohol played a factor in the crash, he said.
