FINDLAY, OH : FPD Man hit killed by vehicle after falling off of bike and into the road on Wednesday, 30th October 2024

A man has died following an accident on W. Trenton Avenue in Findlay Wednesday morning.

On Oct. 30 around 9:42 a.m., Dennis McCracken, 85, of Findlay, was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk in the 700 block of W. Trenton Ave. when he lost control. Police say McCracken fell off of his bike and into the eastbound lane.

According to FPD, an 18-year-old driver, who was traveling eastbound on W. Trenton Ave., was unable to avoid McCracken, and her vehicle hit him.

The Findlay Fire Department arrived on scene and started life-saving efforts on McCracken. He was then transported to an area hospital where he later died.
