Jonesboro, AR : Thurman Knight, 32, killed in ATV crash with truck on County Road 502 near Black Oak on Sunday, AUG 9, 2015

A 32-year-old Monette man died Sunday after the all-terrain vehicle he was riding collided with a truck, authorities said.

It happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. in Black Oak, which is east of Jonesboro in Craighead County.

Arkansas State Police said Thurman Knight was riding the ATV south on County Road 502 when he collided with a westbound Chevy truck at County Road 535.

Knight was taken to a Jonesboro hospital, where he died.

The truck driver, identified only as a juvenile, was said not to be injured.

Conditions at the time were reported to be clear and dry.

The death was the 303rd in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
