Collier County, FL : 25-year-old bicyclist injured in hit and run crash on Vanderbilt Beach Road Friday night, November 21, 2014
Troopers have found a car believed to be involved in a hit and run on Vanderbilt Beach Road Friday night.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said a car was headed eastbound on Vanderbilt Beach Road, just east of North Pointe Drive around 11 p.m. Friday when it hit a bicyclist. After the crash, the driver took off. The bicyclist is 25-year-old Griffin Shallow. Shallow suffered serious injuries.
Troopers said the car involved was a 2003 to 2007 Honda Accord. It is a graphite/dark gray color. Troopers said the car has a passenger mirror missing. Around 6 p.m. Saturday, troopers sent an updated release stating they had located the car. The investigation is ongoing.
