ANTIOCH, CA : Motorcyclist injured in solo crash on Saturday, 5th November 2016

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon following a solo crash that totalled his bike.

The 49-year-old San Francisco resident was driving northbound on Hillcrest Avenue between Via Dora Drive and Terrace View Avenue at 2:08 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to an Antioch Police Department spokesperson.

Police are still trying to determine the cause of the crash, but it appears the motorcycle hit the center median strip, police said.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
