RED BLUFF, CA : Cottonwood woman killed in Tuesday night crash on Tuesday, 30th March 2021

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) suspects drunk driving in a crash that killed a Cottonwood woman.

27-year-old Jovana Sanchez of Cottonwood was driving a 2016 Mazda north on Riverview Drive Tuesday night when she abruptly turned left, ran off the road, and slammed into a tree, according to the CHP. Sanchez was not wearing a seatbelt and was killed.The passenger in Sanchez’s car escaped with minor injuries.
