Kennewick, WA : Man walking home from church killed by hit-and-run driver in Kennewick on Sunday evening, February 22, 2015

Police say a man walking home from church was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday evening in Kennewick.

A passer-by found the body of 68-year-old Michael Robinson on the shoulder of a road at about 6:15 p.m. Emergency personnel responded immediately, and Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene from an apparent head injury.

Police say Robinson had left Holy Spirit Catholic Church at about 6 p.m. and apparently was trying to cross Columbia Center Boulevard between Fourth and Fifth avenues when he was hit.

There are no witnesses or information on a suspect vehicle.

Robinson's next of kin have been notified.

Police are hoping to hear from someone who saw something to give them information to find the driver who fled the scene.
