Tuscaloosa, AL : Brookwood man killed in wreck on Old Birmingham Highway on Tuesday, 16th July 2024

A 53-year-old Brookwood man is dead after a wreck in Tuscaloosa Tuesday evening.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says the man was driving a Ford F-150 that crossed the center line and hit an oncoming Jeep Wrangler.

The man, later identified as Shannon Scott Elmore, died at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, a 45-year-old woman from Brookwood, was taken to the hospital where she is listed in stable condition as of Wednesday morning.
