Dickinson,ND : Dickinson accident victim identified on June, Sunday 4th 2017

The victim of a fatal accident near Dickinson Friday was identified by the North Dakota Highway Patrol Sunday.

Austin Reiter, 21, Bismarck, died in the accident that occurred at 6:27 p.m. 3 miles east of Dickinson.


Reiter was a passenger in a 2003 Chevrolet Impala driven by Colton Steiner, 20, Dickinson. Lance Reiter, 19, Dickinson, was also a passenger in the car.

The Impala was traveling northbound on 105th Avenue Southwest when the patrol said a 2008 Ford Explorer disregarded a stop sign at the intersection 35th Street Southwest and 105th Avenue Southwest.

The 16-year-old driver of the Explorer and the passenger, age 17, were not identified by the patrol.

Austin Reiter and the other occupants of the Impala were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation by the patrol.
