DAVIESS COUNTY, IN : One dead, one arrested after car crashes into lake in Daviess County on Thursday, February 16th 2017

One person has died and one has been arrested after an accident in Daviess County where the vehicle crashed into a lake.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was called to 1200 East, south of County Road 500 North just before 8:30 Thursday night. There, officers found a car in West Boggs Lake.

Officers say the car hit several cable barriers before crashing into the lake.

The passenger, Joyce D. Christmas of Loogootee, died from her injuries. The driver, Heather D. Christmas, was treated and released from the hospital.
