Corpus Christi, TX : One person injured in rollover car wreck on FM 43 in Nueces County on Thursday, January 7, 2016

Two pickup trucks were involved in a rollover accident on FM 43.

It happened Thursday around 5 p.m. in front of London High School.

The first truck was driven by an older man, and the second truck was driven by a 20-year-old. According to officers, the second truck is believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed and rear ended the first truck. The first truck, after being hit, went out of control and veered into a field where it rolled over twice.

The Corpus Christi Fire Department had to break the passenger side window of the first truck to free the driver. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out, the extent of his injuries are unknown.

The 20-year-old was ticketed for failure to control speed, he was not hurt.
