Barre, VT : Canadian couple injured in crash in Middlesex on Monday afternoon, May 23, 2016
Two Canadians suffered multiple injuries after Vermont State Police say the motorcycle they were driving crashed into a vehicle in Middlesex on Monday afternoon.
Police say Jacques Turcotte, 61, and Nicole Dumont, 68, both of Potton, Quebec, were driving down Shady Rill Road when they turned left onto Route 12. During the turn police say the pair hit a vehicle driven by Scott Skinner, 73, of Montpelier. Police say Skinner was driving south at the time of the crash, which caused Route 12 to be closed for a short time while rescue crews responded to the scene.
Police say Turcotte and Dumont had to be airlifted to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington after being transported to the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin for treatment of their injuries.
Police say the crash is still under investigation.
