Deerwood, MN : Two-vehicle crash in Deerwood injures 2 on Saturday, 8th June 2019

A 19-year-old Deerwood man and a 40-year-old Aitkin woman received injuries that were not life-threatening following a two-vehicle crash east of Deerwood at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, June 8.

Kaven Donald Blazek was entering Highway 210 from County Road 32 in his 2004 Ford Pickup when it collided with a 2011 Ford Expedition driven by Misty Marie Swanson, who was westbound on Highway 210 in Rabbit Lake Township.Both drivers were wearing seat belts and their vehicles' air bags were deployed, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Blazek was taken to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby while Swanson was taken to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office assisted at the crash site.
