San Diego, CA : 2 killed as truck and SUV plunge down Southern California hillsides on Sunday, January 11, 2015

Authorities suspect alcohol was involved in crashes that sent cars plunging down Southern California hillsides, killing two people.

San Diego police say a Nissan Titan truck went out of control, rolled down a hill and into a backyard shortly at 12:13 a.m. Sunday.

The driver, a man in his 20s, was thrown from the truck and died at the scene. Three passengers suffered unknown injuries.

Police say nobody wore a seatbelt.
