Lowell, MA : Three injured in serious Lowell crash Friday on October 3, 2014
Three people were injured in a two-car collision about 11:40 p.m. Friday, and an eyewitness told The Sun of Lowell that a red Honda Civic sped through a red light and struck the other vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry, as it was turning.
In one of the first police-radio broadcasts on the accident, an officer could be heard telling a dispatcher to have the paramedics hurry to the scene near the University of Massachusetts Lowell's University Crossing building.
At least 10 to 12 emergency vehicles were on the scene between ambulance, Fire Department vehicles and police cruisers. The intersection was covered in glass and pieces of the cars.
