A woman killed early Saturday morning after the car she was driving ran off Highway 14 near Agua Dulce Canyon Road has been identified as Roshalle Denise Turner, of Palmdale, according to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department.
Turner, 38, was driving a 2009 Dodge Challenger northbound on Highway 14 south of Agua Dulce Canyon Road at around 65 mph, according to a California Highway Patrol officer.
Her vehicle drifted to the left into the HOV lane and struck the concrete center median wall, according to the CHP.
It then veered sharply to the right across all lanes and the right shoulder, traveling up a hillside.
The vehicle drove off the hillside and “vaulted over the wide dirt shoulder,” according to the CHP incident report. The vehicle landed on its roof against another hillside at the north end of the shoulder.
Turner was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was partially ejected from the vehicle, according to the CHP.
