Lebanon,WI : 3 injured when car crashes into utility pole on August, Sunday 13th 2017

Three men were injured early Sunday morning when a car went off the road and struck a utility pole, according to a release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called at 2:41 a.m. to the intersection of County Road R and County Road SC in the town of Lebanon on a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Investigators said a car driven by Steven M. Cummings, 27, of Loveland, Colorado, was traveling east on County Road R when it failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection with County Road SC. The car left the road and overturned before hitting a utility pole, deputies said.

A passenger, David J. Gallegos, 20, of Loveland, Colorado, was ejected and taken to Watertown Hospital before being transferred to UW Hospital in Madison. Another passenger, Guy Patrick David, 45, of Minneapolis, was flown to Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc with life-threatening injuries. Cummings was taken to Watertown Hospital with minor injuries.

Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The Watertown Police Department and EMS, Lebanon EMS and Fire Department, Flight for Life and the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team assisted at the scene.
