Deadly crash near USBP checkpoint

A crash between an 18-wheeler and crew cab work truck caused a fatality Monday evening.It happened near the U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint on U.S. 62/180 in Sierra Blanca around 9:50 p.m. El Paso time, according to Hudspeth County Sheriff's Dept. spokesman Rusty Fleming.Dept. of Public Safety, Border Patrol, ambulance and fire crews were on the scene still as of 11:10 p.m. El Paso time.
No word on the identity of the deceased, or in which vehicle he or she was traveling.
