Nashville, TN : THP searching for driver in hit-and-run fatality on Monday, July 17, 2017
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Chattanooga District is seeking the public’s assistance to help locate a vehicle and driver who may have been involved in a hit-and-run fatality with a pedestrian.
The crash occurred in the 10,000 block of U.S. Highway 41 in Manchester.
According to the THP, Arthur Mantone, 79, of Hillsboro, was killed when he crossed the highway to check his mail. The report states that he was struck by a vehicle, which then left the area. The accident occurred about 2:30 p.m. Monday.
After an investigation by the THP Critical Response Team, it was determined that the car was a 1999 to 2003 Mitsubishi Galant and is champagne in color.
