Oneida County, NY : Teen injured in Bridgewater crash on Thursday, August 4, 2016
A teen riding a pitt bike was sent to the hospital following an accident Thursday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
At about 5:16 p.m. Timothy Welch, 51, of Bridgewater, was traveling east on Babcock Hill Road in a 2006 Toyota when an unidentified 15-year-old boy exited a driveway on a pit bike into Welch’s lane of travel, deputies said.
A pitt bike is a small off-road/on-road motorcycle.
The Bridgewater Fire Department provided aid to the teen before he was taken by Bridgewater Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health Care System for treatment.
The accident is still under investigation.
State police assisted at the scene.
