Brownsville, TX : Woman killed, two officers injured in a single-vehicle crash in Palmview on Wednesday morning, August 17, 2016

A 21-year-old woman died Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash that also landed two off-duty police department officers in the hospital with minor injuries, Palmview Police officials said.

Kryztal Luna of Mission died after being rushed about 2 a.m. from the crash site on Showers Road and the West Expressway 83 underpass to a local hospital, Palmview Police Chief Chris Barrera said.

The red Ford Mustang belonging to Luna was being driven by Palmview communications officer Jacob Rivera when the vehicle struck a concrete column.
