Turtlecreek Township, OH : One person dead after two-vehicle accident in Turtle Creek Township on Wednesday October 19th 2016

One person is dead following a two-vehicle accident in Turtle Creek Township.

It happened just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday night in the 9000 block of State Route 47.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office says a Chevy S10 pickup truck was driving west on SR-47 when it ran off the right side of the road.

The driver brought the S10 back onto the road, before sliding sideways into the eastbound lane. A Chevy Colorado driving east hit the S10.

The driver of the S10 was ejected from the truck. The Shelby County Coroner pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevy Colorado was treated at the scene by Fort Loramie Fire Rescue and later transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital by private vehicle with undisclosed injuries.

The name of the victim is not being released yet, while the family is notified.

The crash remains under investigation.
