Belmont, CA : Man died after truck crash into the center divider on Interstate 280 near Belmont on Sunday afternoon, Sep 6, 2015

A woman was killed in a crash on Interstate 280 in Belmont on Sunday afternoon after her truck ran into the center divider near Highway 92, officials said.

Early reports that the victim was male were incorrect.

The first reports of the crash started coming in around 2:45 p.m., a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said, with callers saying a red pickup truck had crashed on the southbound side of the freeway and the driver was trapped in the vehicle.

No other vehicles were involved.

Fire crews arrived and found the driver, an unidentified 31-year-old woman, still in the truck with no pulse. She died at the scene, the CHP said.
