Ocala,FL : Woman charged with DUI after crashing into pole on February, Thursday 15th 2018
An Ocklawaha woman whose vehicle crashed into a utility pole and snapped it in half was arrested and charged with DUI by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper. Thursday.
Cecelia Joan Amilia Saldivia told Trooper M. Souza on Thursday that she was behind the wheel of a vehicle that drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The trooper said in his report that the pole was broken in two and a portion of the pole was held up by wires.
After interviewing Saldivia, the trooper asked her to perform a field sobriety exercise. Failing the exercise, the 39-year-old woman was arrested at 4:09 p.m.
At the Marion County Jail, Saldivia blew a .194 and .197, which is more than twice the state’s legal limit of .08. Jail records show she was released 8:48 p.m. Friday on her own recognizance.
