North Smithfield, RI : Motorcyclist injured, driver charged after crash on Friday,September 4th 2015

A motorcyclist was reported in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital Friday, a day after a crash on Victory Highway involving a second motorist who is facing charges of driving under the influence causing bodily injury, police said.
Louise A. Desquenne, 35, was also charged with refusing to submit to a breath alcohol test and failure to yield a right of way to the motorcyclist, who was identified as William A. Spear III, 57, of Burrillville.
Capt. Tim Lafferty said Desquenne was turning left onto Connector Road from Victory Highway when her 1999 Volvo collided with Spear at about 4:12 p.m. Thursday. Spear’s cycle was traveling toward the car on Victory Highway from the opposite direction at the time.
