Hudson, N.H : 2 seriously hurt in Hudson crash Saturday morning on October 4, 2014
A drunk driving accident in Hudson Saturday morning critically injured the driver and seriously injured his juvenile passenger, according to the Hudson Police Department.
Officers said that just before 6 a.m., John Lloyd, 20, of Pelham, lost control of his car on Wason Road near Burns Hill Road before leaving the roadway and hitting a tree.
Hudson police said they believe alcohol was a factor in this crash, and have charged Lloyd with aggravated DWI.
Hudson firefighters extracted Lloyd and a 15-year-old passenger were transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua with serious injuries.
Lloyd was later transported to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in critical condition.
Two other passengers were in the rear seats at the time of the crash, but fled the scene before officers arrived.
Officers said they believe neither the driver nor his passengers were wearing seat belts when the car crashed.
The Hudson Police Department said they are still investigating this accident, and may press additional charges against the passengers.
