SUMMERVILLE, SC : Police search for driver in fatal Summerville hit and run on Thursday, November 24th, 2016

Summerville police are searching for the driver who struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene early Thanksgiving morning.
The victim, a 23-year-old man, died of his injuries Thursday afternoon, according to Lt. Nick Santanna.
Authorities say the accident happened just past the Country Inn and Suites and the entrance to Azalea Square on Holiday Drive.
The driver that struck the man left the scene and police do not, as yet, have any vehicle information. Santanna says the vehicle involved should have front-end damage.
The roadway was closed following the accident and reopened around 2 a.m.
