HESPERIA, CA : Authorities investigate hit-and-run crash on Danbury Avenue on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016
Authorities seek the public's assistance with the investigation of a Wednesday night hit-and-run collision that resulted in a pedestrian being transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the collision at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 18000 block of Danbury Avenue.Sheriff's officials said a woman was crossing the road when a dark colored Saturn struck her. Witnesses reported seeing a man at the scene, but he left prior to authorities arriving on scene. The woman was transported by ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities describe the suspect as a white man, approximately 18 years old, 6-foot-1 with dark hair. The vehicle is described as a black or dark colored Saturn with a missing passenger side mirror.
