The woman who died Monday night in a rollover crash on Interstate 80/94 has been identified.
The driver — Mary L. Kulovitz, 70, of Orland Park — reportedly crossed over multiple westbound lanes of traffic before colliding about 5:20 p.m. Monday with a semitrailer near Ill. 394, state police said Tuesday.
The crash injured six others, including five children. State police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Kulovitz was pronounced dead at 6:22 p.m. Monday at an area hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The other six van passengers suffered injuries that were not life threatening, and the semi driver is OK, state police said.
Kulovitz died from blunt force trauma due to a motor vehicle collision, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Other information, including the ages of those injured, was not immediately available Tuesday.
