Statesville, NC : Three people taken to hospital after two car crash in Statesville on Monday morning, June 9, 2014

Several people were injured in a vehicle crash in front of an Iredell Co. elementary school on Monday morning.

The crash was reported just before 8 a.m. in front of Monticello School in Statesville, according to the NC Highway Patrol.

Troopers say two cars were involved in the crash at Highway 90 and Monticello Road.

Four people were in one car and three people were in the other.

Three people had to be pulled out of one of the cars.

They were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem with unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
