Greeley ,IA:Timothy Greene, 20 killed after Car slams into farm equipment in fiery crash on Monday ,September 14th 2015

An Iowa man was killed Monday in a crash with farm equipment on a rural road in the northeast corner of the state.

Timothy Greene, 20, of Edgewood, was killed in the crash on Highway 38 south of Greeley about 6:10 p.m.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, Greene's car was northbound on the highway and crashed into the rear end of a John Deere silage chopper.

The car came to rest in the travel portion of the roadway and caught fire. Troopers reported that Greene died at the scene of the crash.

The silage chopper went into the ditch. It's driver, Richard Bockenstedt, 56, of Greeley, was not seriously hurt.

The crash remains under investigation.
