Pensacola,FL : Pensacola man killed in stolen motorcycle crash on East Oakfield Drive on January, Wednesday 24th 2018

A 25-year-old Pensacola man died Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash.

The victim, Markiese Thornhill, was driving a stolen motorcycle on East Oakfield Drive near the intersection with Lucy Street at about 2:30 p.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Thornhill crossed a set of railroad tracks and the road curved to the left, but he failed to negotiate that turn and left the road, hitting a tree stump.

The motorcycle overturned, propelling Thornhill from the vehicle.
