Adelanto, CA : Sheriff's deputy suffers minor injuries in collision Sunday night, March 26, 2017

A San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputy and a San Diego man were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries after a traffic collision late Sunday night.

The collision occurred in the Adelanto Road and Air Expressway intersection a little after 8 p.m., sheriff's officials said.

The deputy, assigned to the Victor Valley Sheriff's Station, was responding to a foot pursuit in progress in the area of Adelanto Road and Yates Avenue. The deputy was traveling northbound on Adelanto Road and collided with a white 2017 GMC Sierra at the intersection, authorities said.

Both men were taken to local hospital with minor injures.

The collision is being investigated by the Sheriff's High Desert Major Accident Investigation Team.
