Concord ,NC :one injured at I-85 south lanes shut down for hours after crash on Saturday ,July 18th 2015

A two-vehicle crash closed down lanes on I-85 south for hours Saturday morning.

The accident happened around 3:45 a.m. near Exit 49 for Bruton Smith Boulevard in Concord.

All four southbound lanes were closed at some point while crews investigated the crash and cleaned up the road. Lanes reopened around 5:15 a.m.

Officials say one person was pinned in one of the vehicles involved. Medevac was called to the scene and the patient was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.

The extent of the patient's injuries has not been released. Officials did not report any other injuries.
