Two people are dead and a third person was taken to a nearby hospital after a crash on State Road 40 in Volusia County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the crash on S.R. 40 is near S.R. 11 and involved two vehicles that overturned. FHP said 23-year-old Jessica Marcus and 27-year-old Jaime Desmarais died at the scene.
