Bay, AR : Cooking oil spilled in crash on U.S. 63 on Wednesday, April 1, 2015
A truck with a tanker attached overturned Wednesday, spilling cooking oil on U.S. 63.
The northbound lane of U.S. 63 from the Truman exit to the Bay exit was closed as the mess was being cleaned up.
Crews were called to the wreck around 7:50 a.m. According to Arkansas State Police, the driver of the truck swerved and overcorrected spilling between 800 to 1000 gallons of the oil.
Traffic was backed up past Truman for hours as crews applied sand to dry the oil.
The condition of the driver was not immediately known.
