SPARTANBURG, NC : Driver charged after crash kills 53-year-old motorcyclist in Spartanburg on Monday, 18th November 2024
A driver is charged after a crash killed a 53-year-old motorcyclist died Monday morning, according to Spartanburg Police.
Officers were called to the intersection of Bomar Avenue and South Church Street to the scene at around 10:30 a.m.
According to police, a Nissan Maxima was trying to make a left turn onto Bomar Avenue from South Church Street when the driver turned in front of a motorcylist traveling north on South Church Street. Officials said the mtorcyclist collided with the Nissan in the center of the intersection.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time and died at the scene. The coroner identified the victim as Billy Keith Stevens.
