Temple, TX : Two Hamilton residents died in Coryell County collision on Monday afternoon, April 25, 2016

Two Hamilton residents traveling on State Highway 36 in Coryell County died in a collision Monday afternoon.

Robert Edward Sanders, 46, and Rachel Fern Baker, 56, both of Hamilton, were killed about 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon, according to a report from KWTX.

The TV station cited a report from Department of Public Safety Trooper Ronald Slay who said Sanders and Baker were in a 1998 Nissan Frontier pickup truck that left the westbound roadway on State Highway 36 and hit a concrete wall.

A DPS spokesman did not immediately return calls for comment regarding what may have caused the collision.

KWTX said Baker’s and Sanders’ remains were taken to Central Texas Mortuary in Temple where their funeral arrangements are pending.
