Allen, TX : Highland Village teen dies in head-on collisionon Monday, 25th June 2018

The Allen ISD Board of Trustees on Monday approved a $257,774,082 budget for the 2018-19 school year, along with a proposed two-cent tax rate reduction from $1.57 last school year to $1.55 per $100 of valuation.

The proposed tax rate goes into effect in August.

The total budget stems from the budgets of three different funds that, by law, require board approval: the general fund ($197,485,382); student nutrition fund ($7,343,700); and debt service fund ($52,945,000).
